For HR and IT staffing teams running remote interviews
Know the person you interview is the person you hire.
TrueCandidate runs your video interviews and quietly helps the interviewer: a plain sentence when something looks off, and simple on-screen checks a scripted or proxy candidate can't pass. Every candidate gets the same fair process. A person makes every decision.
25 interviews free. No scores, no automated rejections.
The person on the call is not always the person who starts on Monday.
Teleprompters, AI earpieces, off-camera helpers and real-time face swaps are cheap and common in remote pipelines. When it surfaces after the start date, the staffing team eats the bench time, the re-staffing and sometimes the account.
91%
of US hiring managers have encountered or suspected AI-generated interview answers (Greenhouse, 2026).
25–30%
of flagged sessions showed real fraud once dedicated detection was deployed (InCruiter, 2026).
70 min
is all it takes to build a fake candidate that passes a video interview (Palo Alto Networks).
How it works
Step 1
Send one link
The candidate checks their camera, reads a plain-language consent page, and joins. Nothing to install.
Step 2
Signals become a sentence
Tab switches, pasted text, extra monitors, virtual cameras and unnatural answer timing reach the interviewer as one quiet line each. Never a score, never a red badge.
Step 3
Simple checks, same for everyone
Seven one-click probes — rephrase, reference back, interrupt, close eyes, share screen, turn head, hand over mouth — each stamped as a 10-second window.
Step 4
A person reviews the evidence
After the call, every nudge and probe is a jump point on the replay. Confirm, dismiss, or mark inconclusive. Decisions are logged.
What the interviewer is told
Plain facts first. No black-box confidence numbers, so there is nothing to argue about and nothing that biases the interview.
Focus and tab switching
The interview tab lost focus for more than 3 seconds during an answer.
Extra monitors
A second display is connected — the usual home of a teleprompter.
Virtual camera or audio device
OBS, ManyCam, VB-Cable and similar drivers are present.
Constant answer latency
Three answers in a row start a suspiciously identical 3–8 seconds after the question.
Reading gaze pattern
Horizontal sweeps with a periodic return, measured against the candidate's own 50-second baseline.
Lips, voice and liveness
Voice without lip movement, a head that never moves while speaking, and a camera that drops on a healthy connection — all measured on the candidate's own device.
Fair to candidates. Ready for your security review.
Built so HR can sign off on it and IT can audit it.
A person decides
The system never rejects anyone. Interviewers see text; reviewers see evidence; people make the call.
Consent first
No consent record, no media. Candidates see exactly what is collected, for how long, and can request a re-review.
Retention you set
Recordings delete on your schedule (7–90 days). Evidence and audit log stay. Open disputes are never purged.
Client-ready record
Consent, nudges with evidence, probe windows, decisions and viewer audit trail per candidate.
Flat monthly pricing
Priced by interview volume, not seats. No overage bills: we email you at 80% and you choose. Pilots run 25 interviews free.

Questions teams ask
- Does this work inside Zoom or Teams?
- Interviews run on a TrueCandidate call link so the interviewer gets live nudges, probes and browser signals. A Zoom bridge for clients who require it is on the roadmap.
- Will it accuse honest candidates?
- It cannot accuse anyone. It tells the interviewer a plain fact ("the tab lost focus for 6 seconds") and suggests a check. A reviewer decides afterwards, with the clip in front of them.
- What does the candidate see?
- A camera check, a consent page listing every signal collected, the call, and afterwards a page showing what was kept, when it is deleted, and a button to request a human re-review.
- Where is the data stored and who can see it?
- In your organization's isolated space, encrypted, with every view of a recording written to an audit log. Recordings are deleted on your retention window; evidence and decisions are kept.
- Is candidate video used to train models?
- Only if the candidate ticks a separate, optional box — and then only a de-identified copy stored apart from your data, which they can withdraw at any time. You can turn the option off for your organization.
- How is it priced?
- Flat monthly tiers by interview volume, no per-seat charges, no overage bills. Pilots get 25 interviews free.
